Taking part in a group is a unique way to learn information, share experience,
and build community.
There are two types of group offered at Jennifer Jaber LMFT:
Psychoeducation groups are where participants learn about a set curriculum of therapy skills and discuss how to apply them. These short-term groups are perfect as a supplement to your own therapy, if you’re looking to shore up on specific skills, or if you are looking to improve your life in practical ways.
Group Therapy is a confidential space led by a licensed therapy that blends practical skills with a deeper exploration of WHY. Why do I feel the way I feel? Why am I reacting this way, even when I don’t want to? Why is this important to me? These groups may be short-term (8-12 weeks) or ongoing and participants typically are expected to show up and participate on a regular basis with minimal absence to help build trust and security within the group dynamic.
